I need some assistance with the search capability or maybe a suggestion of a better way:
The recent posting of Garry Marks entitled: Wednesday evening drive with friends (2/16/2022) noted that his interior upholstery is summary code 213 (which includes 1065 “light antique yellow leather)
That prompted me to try a search to find members who had similar interiors. I failed. Maybe I don’t understand the search capability well enough – so help; Is this type of search possible?
or is there another way?
My car (a European 1965 230sl) has the same interior 213 summary code. I am very interested in how many others have this same interior, and with what exterior color? Mine happens to be matched with 571H (ROT. MET.) Red Metallic.
Ideas?

John,
The only thing i can suggest is you go to the Tech Manual to the Register of members cars and look at the list. It is a data base that can be manipulated but i am unsure if you can drill down to interior colours.

One of the Board Members, Achim, is currently looking at the register to see if there is a better way to list the vehicles so that you can do a more detailed search but it is a big job to get it all together and something should be announced soon.
Here are the two that i have owned. They were both very similar but photo colours don’t show that.

Wow, that is really special to have an autograph of Paul Bracq on the glove box.

Its been there since 2013 when I was arranging the 50th Anniversary Pagoda gathering down under and i had some dealings with Paul Bracq who kindly wrote a letter to be read at the dinner and it was then raffled. During our exchanges I was able to get my glove box door shell signed.

I believe that a recent restoration by EeVeeWee (Dutch 230SL restoration might be the thread)has that same light yellow leather interior. I could be incorrect but I think that car is a dark blue.
I’ve seen one 250SL (CA coupe) with that interior. It was the same exterior as yours. I believe it was sold by Roy Spencer on BAT this past year.
I really like that interior. It’s neutral enough to go with just about any exterior color. Looks especially appealing with jewel toned cars.

My interior came from Cabrio.de KHM who will happily send you some samples of the colour if you ask.
