What is so intriguing is not the ridiculous powering of a Tesla with jet engines, but all of his cool design and engineering, and his ability to make things pretty easily. What a nice set of design, cutting, and machining tools he has at his disposal!

Yup, totally ridiculous.  Running it at Bonneville on stock wagon wheels while steering with two strings and two boot heels for brakes is insane!  (although Fred and Barney would be proud . . .)

But boy does it ever prove my theory that those little, miniature jet engines are just a solution in search of a problem.

I stopped looking at these ridiculous YouTube videos this morning involving small jet engines when somebody had adapted an APU from a BAC-111 into a beer chiller…
