Just finished a light restoration of my 1967 280SL . It’s a factory 5 speed ZF gearbox along with a higher diff ratio. It’s number 00087 Chassis Number so I think it would have to be the first RHD with ZF gearbox produced in December of 1967. Love to know what you guys think 🤔
Happy New Year and here’s to 2023 to all !!! 😎

Love that dark red "ruby" color! Is that replicating a specific factory color code? Also, you say "It’s number 00087 Chassis Number". Do you mean the VIN is 113044-10-000087? Or do you mean the assembly line production number was 0087?

Thanks Rod.
The Color code is factory
I kept it the same 576 G over O40 G Hardtop and caps.
Yes it’s chassis number 00087 so one of the first RHD ZF Two tone I think 🤔

Very nice. Which I can also say of the space the car is in!

Note the handbrake on the RHS, probably moved at some stage to make it easier to drive a RHD manual

Stunning! Along with the garage it’s in!
