Title: Downtown in Newport, Rhode Island Sunday, June 18, 1 PM

As I was walking from my parking lot to the dock, where my Father’s Day harbor cruise was leaving from, I spotted this Pagoda driving by quickly. This was on America’s Cup Avenue, just around 1 PM this afternoon.

We have a number of members in Rhode Island, just a few in the Newport area, but almost nobody is active here on the forum.

When clicking on the pic and expanding it, it is out of focus in a way that makes it look more like a water color painting than a photograph.  Very interesting.

As I was a bit of a distance away, on foot, I needed to zoom in. The iPhone is only an ersatz digital zoom not optical so it can’t really preserve any detail. No lenses move.

Well, it's a neat visual effect.  You'll have to try it on purpose at your next car show or something.
