Hi everyone I've a 230 sl pagoda from 1965 ,frstly ordered in europea ,where are supposed to be the id plates?

My first suggestion would be to use the Search feature. As a Full Member, you also have access to the Technical Manual. https://www.sl113.org/wiki/DataCard/BodyandPaintNumberPlate

Thank you I will !

My 230SL was originally sold in Bergamo, up near Milan. It still has the dealership sticker in the hard top window.
Good luck with your ID plates. If yours are missing or in poor condition, they can be remanufactured.

The pictures in your original post show two different plates. The upper one is the "data plate" containing key option information, which is/was mounted on the inner fender rail for, I think, all models. The lower one is the "VIN plate", containing the chassis-no and other info. This plate was/is mounted on the firewall in a padding cutout in front of the passenger position. This location is correct for all Euro cars and early 230SLs in the U.S. for later U.S. models, this plate was moved to the driver side door area.
