I know this topic has been posted many, many times and I believe I have looked at them all. Various suggestions were made for possible sources but I'm still searching. A very recent post mentions Bosch H305 rear window wipers would fit my 230SL. Close but no cigar! (smaller in height and width) Luckily it was an Amazon purchase and returnable.
MY present wipers (chromed) were bought from Star Quality (Ray) for those who remember him. The invoice says "Bosch" but I see no markings on the wiper arm.
There has to be a better way than buying the entire new arm (usually over $100+) but everyone who advertises refills never show a close-up for comparison, and most either are not returnable or have a surcharge for return.
I am including pictures for clarity (my measurements are close approximates) but I am searching for ANY help. Someday I'll be caught in the rain!

John,
Out of curiosity, have you gone to an auto parts store and looked what they have?
It's been a number of years for me, but the last time I did this exercise, I just removed the rubber from some not too costly off the shelf model, and cut everything to size. Now maybe that's not possible today, but worth a look.

Mike, tried that and much to the consternation of many as most had sealed packages. I am assuming that I need to buy the whole assembly, but so far no go!

Those from Mercedes are not correct?
A 000 824 50 27 Up to ident. no.: 044 004118
A 000 824 12 27 As of ident. no.: 044 001200
Yes, I know they are expensive...

Does that include 230SL, 250SL?

John,
I know you are looking for just the refills, but I happen to have two new complete Chrome Wiper Blades (13") that were intended for my 280sl, but for which I actually needed the Satin finish. If the blades I have fit your 230sl, I'd be happy to sell mine for little more than the cost of the refills alone.

Steven, Email sent. I may be interested in those blades if John is not. I need to compare to what's on my 230SL.

It is 305mm. May not work before 042 011510. Before that VIN wiper rubber is now replaced by the whole blade, which will not look like original, you could at best take the rubber from it.

Here's a little additional information that may be of help (or interest) to someone:
The original wiper blades specified for the 230SL (and through the 280SL, I believe) were 12"/305mm in length (hence John's H305). Some years ago, I wound up buying a full set of holders and rubber in the correct (for my 230SL) bright finish; however, this set was actually for W111s and W112s, and is 13"/330mm in length.
So the set of blades that Steven is selling appears to also be a 13" set. These fit fine on a W113, but be aware that the replacement rubber part number is different from what the 230SL parts manual specifies. (My notes say that the 13"/330mm blade part number is 000 824 10 27, or Bosch 4-046, but I would double-check that.)
Anyway, I just thought this info might be useful...

P.S. I, too, am looking for 13" replacement blades, and would buy Steven's set if someone in line in front of me doesn't.

Thank you to all who have tried to help me in my search. As d’Artagnan is quoted: "All for one and one for all" I appreciate everyone's input.
This has been an interesting quandary which eventually may be solved, and one which I am sure many have gone through. To be continued/solved with everyone's help.

John,
I have a 1969 280 SL with the satin chrome arms. I had not really thought much about wipers until my last big trip coming home from Pinehurst in May when I drove home for 2 1/2 hours in pouring rain the entire way.
Anyway, I went out and measured my wiper arms and rubber dimension this morning and ordered this set from Amazon. It was $7.50, and enough to do probably three cars worth. Yes I will have to take the blades off and do a little surgery on my kitchen table, to replace just the rubber and get it all back together properly.
I will let you know how it works out, but these dimensions shown appear to be close enough to what I need that I believe it will work.
On the dimensions shown where it says 6 mm across the width, you show 9 mm on your dimension. My rubber is about 6 mm across, but with the metal reinforcements stuck in the sides, that measures 9 mm.

Simply to maybe help those searching for refills, I am attaching measurements I calculated for the Bosch H-305 wipers if it might help someone It actually looks similar to the dimensions Mike posted

Great success! Took me all of 10 minutes.
1. Remove entire blade from arm.
2. Pinch the clips together at the end of the rubber, and slide out the rubber with metal reinforcement.
3. Find the end with the larger slit/slot; push the end of the rubber through.
4. Slide out old rubber from the metal reinforcement.
5. Reverse the process by starting with sliding in the new rubber.
I cannot speak to which windscreen wipers or arms anyone has but mine are Bosch (little logo on the satin chrome finish). Mine have a removable rubber with a metal reinforcement.
This link is to the wiper rubber I bought. https://a.co/d/eRGb7oM Note that these were slightly smaller in most dimensions than the rubber that came out, but fit in perfectly. The size difference didn't appear to be an issue. The old rubber is probably conventional black butyl. The new is gray. While I appreciate authenticity, when the wipers are going full and it's pouring rain, I don't care what color the rubber is...only that they work.
There was enough rubber on ONE of the FOUR pieces in the kit to do both wipers on my Pagoda. So I have plenty left over. I'll toss it in the back of my car for anyone coming to Chicago that wants to see if these may work...So, there's enough for three cars left.
