It's been a while since I've posted. Glad to be back!
First, I've saved the original black steering wheel and shift knob. Actually, I have saved all the original parts (e.g. distributor with points) from my car since I bought it 12 years ago.
I decided to go ahead and buy a Nardi steering wheel made for the W113. It looks terrific! I also found a matching wood shifter knob.
What do you think?

That steering wheel center logo is much more attractive than all of the others I've seen previously on Nardi Pagoda wheels.

I think your steering wheel looks great! It is a fantastic alternative with the thick rim - you feel it nice in your hand.
I really prefer Nardis over stock steering wheels - there was a lot of discussions about it on the forum. Stock steering wheels were not designed for Pagoda and just do not really fit Pagoda in my opinion.
From the Nardi range, however, I chose the Anni 60 model that, again, in my view, just fits the dash design better - because of the 60ies design style and because of the pattern on the spikes that is close to the one on the stripe on the dash of our cars. Yes, you lose the "good grip" feel as the rim is not thick.
I do not have a good picture of my steering wheel. I am posting so that we have a comparison of both Nardi types.
I do not suppose any Nardi model was made for Pagoda, actually...

Your wheel looks terrific as well. I'm not sure if any Nardi steering wheel was made for the Pagoda (weren't they originally made for Italian cars such as Ferrari?). It does feel a lot better than the stock wheel. I purchased my steering wheel and shifter knob on eBay Motors. The seller described them as purpose fit for a W113. I had the wheel installed by my Mercedes service center. Went on in a matter of minutes.

There is a whole list of cars you can fit those wheels to from many makes.
Fitting yours was easy because it came with a hub for a Pagoda (or any Mercedes of given type that had the same steering column). There are hubs available from Nardi for earlier type steering column and later type. When you order them, you order the wheel, separately the hub and a horn button.
I think your car looks great with this wheel.

My very first car, a Fiat 1500S OSCA had a Nardi wheel when I bought it. Ignorant as I was in 1970, I replaced it with a "cool" small leather wrapped steering wheel. In later years, I started looking for the Nardi wheel and can no longer find it.
