Title: ZF Transmission Manual
Post by: gcdnevadacity on November 17, 2023, 03:55:39
Hello, I'm looking for help locating a service manual for a 1964-1966 ZF 5 Speed transmission. My shift linkage needs help - perhaps bushings. Any suggestions are appreciated. I think my unit is ZF S5-20 but not certain. Unfortunately the data plate is missing. However the outer case is 1025 401. I hope that helps some.

Thank you.

I believe all shifter and linkage bushings are the same as the standard 4-speed. Maybe others can confirm. I have the ZF manual but it doesn’t include the linkages. If a search of the site doesn’t turn up the pictures and part numbers I can look them up.

Indeed, the only parts I see on the parts list (EPC) that are different for ZF are:
- rear support A 113 242 01 01
- pull rods A 113 260 10 89
- shifting tube A 113 260 06 82
- knob A 111 268 05 42 (this one is available)

The rest, as it looks like, is the same.

SA code for ZF is 10603 in case you need it.

Here is the picture cross-referenced to the part numbers.
It's probably easiest to call the Classic Center parts division and tell them you'd like all shifter and linkage bushings.
