Hello guys , ive just replaced the brake and clutch pedal pads , i bought genuine mercedes , only 5€ each. It was a nightmare because the rubber was very tight even after putting them in boiling water but at the end i was able to do it. Now is the turn for the gas pedal , i have a manual trasmission as you know . There are 2 different pads available but i believe one is for automatic and its another story. My question is , how difficult is to remove the rubber and put in place the new one ? i did't find many informations on the forum. I also found that there are on sale 2 different types of pads even for manual transmission , one includes the metal part and one only the rubber . If you could give me some indications , i would be more than happy.

This is a surprisingly easy job. Remove the pedal from its mounting, it slides out. Take notice how it fits back in when you take it out so it fits the same. Perhaps take photos, if you need to.
Then remove the old rubber from the accelerator pedal as much as you can (see photos). You may need to heat it up or leave it in the sun, and strip it back with a sharp Stanley knife. Then the new one just slips over the top of the metal component (no need to replace that).
Then replace it into exactly the same place you removed it from.

Hi , thanks for your description. Is it worth to put the new pedal in boiling water ? I did this to put the brake and clutch pedals . I had hell of time . I realized that is available also the metal part , but I don’t think I need . Automatic transmission have different type of pedal pads , am I right ?

You said you found different pedals available. Can you share part numbers?
Logically, I don't understand why there would be different pedals, unless it was simply a style change for all Pagodas (and other MBs?) at a specific VIN.

No chassis numbers given for parts change, which usually means they are interchangeable.
If you are searching somewhere, please note that in the parts list nomenclature 'GAS PEDAL" or "ACCELERATOR PEDAL" is the rod going up to shaft. "FOOT PLATE" or "PEDAL PLATE" is the plastic/rubber part we are talking about here.

They told me that part number 110 300 00 02 is for automatic version , probably the entire piece is different in the way is attached and probably some modifications due to the kick down button . I asked to my local Mercedes’ Benz dealer and this part is available and cost 370€. The part number for manual transmission is 110 301 05 82 . No longer available.
Luckily there are many aftermarket and oem available still .

Mauro, it is the Mercedes system that says: if you want to have pedal plate for manual A 1103010102, buy the one for automatic, A 110300 00 02. The A 110 301 05 82 is not for W113.

Probably they have me wrong informations.
The main difference if I understood well, is the possibility to buy the rubber pad or the entire metal pedal with the pad too .

Why different accelerator rubber plates for different transmissions?

I guess for the kickdown in the automatic Transmission.
