Title: IP pump element : working explained
Post by: rosch on January 20, 2024, 11:16:20
For those who are interested how the pump elements in the injection pump work ,look here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eA5qipliN9w

It is an excellent video that I found which explains it all in a very clear way.

Something for the Tech manual ?

Hello Rob, thanks for this great video, makes it so much easier to understand how the pump works

Can i assume this is the same or similar to the pumps fitted in our cars?  If so i'll put it in the manual, hopefully it won't disappear in the future

Indeed ,  it's the same principle of our SL injection pumps .

Fantastic!  This is so helpful in understanding these helical plungers.  Now I need to re-read the operation of our pumps to better understand how the rack is adjusted to increase fuel volume.  Thanks again, very much.
