While trades are interesting these cars are not even from the same planet!

Your best bet is to get your Pagoda in good enough condition to sell for $$$ and then do so. When you have the proceeds then look for your dream Mustang.

There’s a LOT more Mustangs available than Pagodas, so you’ll have a lot to search through.

When I worked on the car selection committee for The Concours of America, the local Mustang clubs always wanted a Mustang Class. The committee always deferred saying “they made over a million 1st generation Mustangs. They’ll never be rare.” That described reality but didn’t detract from their enormous appeal or collectibility. You may have a hard time finding the right one-only because there will be plenty to choose from!

Rodd,

Have you used the SEARCH feature? That is the same person that has posted many times, under different user names. I think even may have been deleted or banned by Peter Van Es previously. Here is one...

Not deleted or banned... just expired. He's on fishing expeditions but no one bothers to call him I would imagine.

Great advice from Michael. I've owned many Mustangs, including Shelby GT 350's and factory GT's, (67 and 68 GT 390 big blocks). One of my GT 390's won over 20 MCA gold concours awards. Anyway, Pagodas are soooooooo much better cars. I know it's a matter of taste, but driving a Pagoda and driving a vintage Mustang are two very different experiences. German engineering was light years ahead of what you got in those 60's Mustangs. I believe that Ford did not put an independent rear suspension in their Mustangs until 2014 or so.
