I think the high bid will be between $17-22k, and that's someone overpaying by underestimating what it takes to bring it back to life. I'm surprised BaT accepted a reserve for this car.

The fender mounted options/data plate has a 0 for country code.  It's in our tech manual as internal stock.  That is, company cars for engineers, executives, or the like.  You don't see that often, but it has absolutely no impact on value.

Whatever it goes for it will just be "the cost of admission" into our little fraternity.    It would be interesting to follow it wherever it ends up. 

I'm watching it daily on BAT.

I know a guy who buys projects like this just to keep his "recovering" body men concentrating on something other than their next fix.  When they are "on" they can do some nice work.    Up to $20,000 I don't think you would lose much if you are resourceful with repairs and replacement parts.
