Pagoda and vintage MB expert Michael McKinney, owner of Black Forest, LLC., has offered to host an open house at his facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 21, 2024. Subject matter will focus on Rebuilding and calibration of the Bosch Mechanical Injection Pump and other topics of interest pertaining to W113. We would want to keep the group size to about 12 to 15 attendees. If you are interested in attending, leave a comment here. We will probably go from around 11 AM to 3 PM. We will do some grilling and offer light refreshments. A small contribution of $25 will be appreciated to cover refreshment expenses.

I've seen this demonstration and it's something you won't want to miss.

Since posting my "Injection Pump Calibration Video", (see https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=37687.0 ) I have received my fully rebuilt injection pump back from Black Forest. During the process, Michael McKinney took me through the entire process from disassembly (my pump was already partially disassembled when I gave it to him), through inspection, measuring tolerances, plating, reassembly and calibration. These pumps are essentially tiny engines with pistons and camshafts and are an often misunderstood component in getting an engine to run properly. During my visits at Black Forest I have observed the stations in their shop where they tend to every component of the vehicle including brake booster rebuilds, plating, fuel pump rebuilding, upholstery, engine, transmission, you name it. If you are in the Midwest, and own a vintage Benz, try to make it September 21.
