Trying to get seat upholstery and carpets (eventually going to redo all) and can’t figure out if this is maroon or red from pics. Any ideas here?
Also when redoing seats do i need to replace the padding or is there a way to determine if i should or not? I’ve only ever felt the seats feel same as they are now for the last 35 years lol.

The best way to determine the color is from the data card (providing that your interior hasn't been changed)
We do have colors listed in the Tech manual but comparing pictures on phone or pc will not guarantee a match.

You can also get samples from the various upholstery vendors.
For the seats, it's really what you want to live with. There are a variety of ways others have fixed their seats in this post:

Fully agree with LorSar - to get the match you need the data card.
Looking at what is in there now, after many years, with use, exposure to sun etc is quite difficult. You would need to find a piece that was folded over and protected from any invasive items.
The springs and/or the padding will tell the tale when you take the covers off.
I had the pad replaced in my 280 SL. I could tell I was sitting on the springs!

Thank you both!
Was a late to get some samples shipped so should be here next week. I’m hoping to order everything at once and not have to pull seats apart twice, it’s a driver now and i want to drive as much as i can, so having seats torn down for long time will be hard. I’ll just have to wait though and see how they look i guess. I’ll also look at the spring/noodle ideas too. They feel like a normal 60s muscle car to me- my Chevelle with new padding isn’t any better lol
