Could not find via search: is there a source of or replacement for the fuel evaporation valve?
-
Pawel:
Is this the valve that is on the passenger side of the trunk?
I have to check , I might have 2 of them.

Thank you Tom, but no, this is form the newest evaporation system, the one in the US cars on the driver's side, next to the big tank.
It has valves inside (unlike the small tank). It is NLA at Mercedes and I cannot spot it anywhere...

Buds Benz shows one, but says it may not be available, might be worth a call to them

Have you had a look inside one, are they repairable, or is yours missing?

Hi,
I think this vent valve (1154700293) belongs to US vehicles with ECS. It was also installed in other vehicles with M130 engines (W114) and others. I would check the "replace numbers".

WRe, thank you, I saw this (by the way: I started with B2B already...). My friend with original late US car (the same you were helping with the shot thrust bearing) checked these numbers and most of the parts are NLA.
He says it looks like once you open it, you may not be able to have it back together tight. We know from BBB that there are valves inside and we know how it works, we may try carb cleaner, maybe it is just gummed up with old gas.
The symptom is - oil dripping from not tight connection to engine. Then he started blowing through various hoses and where it should shut off pressure - pressure goes free.
There are vsalves perfroming similar functions from pre-computer activated purge era, I though maybe someone figured which one to use.

We are still struggling with this valve...
If anyone has one please shout. I will post on Wanted To buy as well.
We will follow up with BUDs. We have followed up on the parts replacements: the 123 is NLA. There is also a replacement from 107 system, it is available, comes with additional parts, but we do not know how would we hook it up - maybe someone can give us a steer....
