Forgive if this has been posted before. Roll bar is a little dangerous and wish I could erase the red on the wheels, but a very neat project, especially considering the husk the builder started with...

“…Derek reckons that the top speed of this car is it least 140 mph (225 kph), but he hasn't tested it yet. Also the acceleration time hasn't be tested, but it's certainly a hairy car to drive: when accelerating hard the car goes sideways as well as straight ahead. With full throttle the car apparently is quite a handful and hard to keep in one lane…”
Umm, no thank you. Seems he created quite literally, a dangerous monster. Power without control really is not safe.

I would have to guess a lot of rusty parts painted over as well.

Although there are no photos, he says: "Well, the rust has been removed, all sheet metal has been fixed"

"Oversized engines" for lack of a better term, in bodies/chassis not really designed for them makes for rare beasts but not great cars if handling is any metric.
Think of Carroll Shelby walking into AC Motors with a Ford 427 under his arm, and the result was the AC Cobra 427. A beast.
Or, humble Sunbeam placing a Ford 260/289 in their Alpine to create the Tiger...
On this side of the pond, Chrysler putting the 440 or 426 Semi in the Plymouth Belvedere (among others) which created muscle cars. Highly engineered, sort of, they could turn sub 14 second quarter miles and 0-60 in less than 5 seconds...
Just don't try to turn any corners!

If the car goes side ways under heavy acceleration would that not point to a different problem and the result of an engine upgrade? I don't know maybe either balance or diff, or suspension. Dragsters seem to be able keep straight.

I think it's a weight thing. He swapped the suspension but clearly that's not even enough. Google tells me these weigh 63kg more than a M117, which I believe are about the same or slightly lighter than the M130. I wonder how much weight the suspension added.

Hope all is well in Clearwater, and no damage to Pagoda
