Somethings age better than other. The SL turned 56 a couple of days ago and the owner turned 80 a couple of days before that. Looking forward to many more Birthdays for both of us. BTW,for our SoCal members, the "younger" owner/SL photo was taken in the early '70s on Highway 70 at the crest before dropping down to Lake Elsinore. Sunday drives were a lot easier in those days

Congratulations, John! Wishing you many more of these happy milestones.

Thanks Ralph, these “mile stones” keep coming faster every year.

Both looking good! 👍👍👍

Is the 'younger' photo the top or the bottom one? Can't tell by looking at the car! :)

Both looking good! 👍👍👍
Absolutely, you guys both look great!

This is great thanks for sharing!

Very nice. Great that you have some early photos.
Is that a “pricing window sticker” on the hard top glass?

Hello Oz, We had a car show here in our community and I put a copy of the original sticker in the window. I think that it drew almost more attention than the car itself. Sticker "shock" in reverse

Beautiful photos!
If I had those, I would be about Ford GT 40 high, standing next to my father's Trabant.
Or perhaps it would already be VW Beetle... not sure.

Great photos. Thanks for sharing and congrats!!!

Great photos and congrats to you. I too look at myself as if I was still in my 30s. As I get older I have a big dilemma, no one to leave the Pagoda to in my family, and don’t want my wife the burden of liquidating it if I pass before her. I will hold on to it as long as I feel fit. It’s like an old friend sitting in my garage.

If you're not using it anymore, sell it and buy a new friend that you & your wife can enjoy your time with. A different car, a small boat, remodel part of the house, go on a few extravagant vacations - many options.
