Title: HARDTOP rear middle hook
Post by: Savakis on October 07, 2024, 17:52:07
Hello,

I am wondering if there is a hook at the bottom of the hardtop -just below the rear window.

I am attaching 2 pictures of my BLACK hardtop showing a hole at the middle of the hardtop's rear end.

It seems that my car didn't have a fastening hook there...

I am also attaching a third picture with another hardtop (WHITE color) in which a fastener seems to appear at the back of the hardtop.

Am I missing something here?

Regards,
Savvas

the hole is for a rubber plug that will cover the hole on the horseshoe where the soft top latches into.

The hook existed in very early days only then it was gone.

But your picture, showing stamped last 4 digits of the build number is quite important and should be saved. There are rather few of them showing the location of this number.
