I have a 280SL 1969 and have below jack.

I have the same screw type jack in my US 68 280sl but per the tech manual it is a 230sl jack.

I have the same one in my early 250sl

You have the older and, in fact, more valuable version of jack.

Mine was a Euro and I have that jack, in my 71 280SL. Mine was 150 cars from the end of production.

From what i've read the early type ratchet jacks were used up until some time in 1968, when they changed to the enclosed type

Here s the 230SL manual showing the correct Jack, which matches the one you have. This is the one I have in my European delivered 230SL.
