Here's my 1965 230SL that I picked up at the weekend. Some of you may recognise it, since I purchased it from a fellow forum member....

Very nice indeed. If I could make one suggestion to enhance what is clearly already a handsome example.... you should add the factory chrome trim that's missing behind the rear wheels. When you do, make sure it's aligned properly. We've discussed this part in the forums, so run a search for details of placement.

Well spotted! The chrome trim is currently sitting in the boot/trunk waiting to be attached.....

What's the paint color code on that? Is it original to the car, or at least an original and correct MB color from the period? It looks great!

I believe that it's Anthracite Metallic, code 172.
