Title: ignition on 230sl

I'm a new member here... Just went out to the garage to start up the 230 SL and the key won't turn in the ignition. I've moved the steering wheel a bit and can feel it unlocking but the key, it's acting like it isn't even the right key. Help!

It took 24 hours but I did it!! I put a little graphite in there and nothing happened. I figured a pin was snapped in the cylinder and it probably needed replacing anyway and thought what harm could a little WD40 do? Woke up this morning and gave it another try and it turned!!
