Does anyone know of a source for the bracket that hangs the windshield washer reservoir? We're looking for the bracket that attaches to the back of the brake power unit and, on manual transmissions, also holds the clutch fluid reservoir. My friend has a '71 automatic and there is no bracket at all. We've tried the dealer, Calibre, Millers, etc. etc. Still no joy.
Here are a couple of photos of the hanger in my '68.

Raymond,
I am not sure whether it is the correct one but SLS sells a bracket. See article #286011, category 82c:: http://www.sls-hh-catalogue.de/bin/dbframes.phtml?mid=IN02

Oops, just noticed that it is for a RHD only. But it might worth sending them an email to see whether they have one for a LHD.

Ray,
The later 280 SLs didn't come with that bracket originally. Not sure exactly when it was discontinued.

Hello Ray,
The part number is 113 290 00 86. Can be found in the figure for group 29 (pedals). Price was Euro 16.12 in 2004 in Germany.
Might be a little more expensive now.[:0]
Good luck!

Thanks Achim!
Here's proof, once again, that this website is the best place in the world to get info on our cars, no matter how obscure.
Now, armed with a number, we'll see if we can track one down.
