Title: PPI Mechanic Needed

hello friends, i am planning a trip to the riverside (temecula) area (so. california) to look at a 1971 280sl red/black (auto) pagoda on either aug. 26th or aug. 27th 2006, i am driving from the santa monica area, i would like to take a mechanic who knows these cars with me (for hire of course) or someone who is VERY knowledgable and can assist me in the pre-purchase inspection, i would be greatful for any feedback as to who to contact.

Contact Tom Colitt on this site, who has a shop in LA (I believe in Malibu).  He owns and restores Pagodas and would be perfect for assessing your (hopefully) 1971 280SL.  Good luck!

Terry Shores is from Temecula and has been very active in this forum in the past. Run a search on his name in the forums and send him an e-mail. Very nice guy & a real enthusiast.

(I also agree that Tom Collit is also an excellent resource.)
