Post by: JamesL on August 14, 2006, 14:31:10
Thursday to Sunday, London to Stuttgart and back. Hopefully get a write up for PW together - I visited Mechatronik and the new museum.

Anyhoo...

Total: 1,338 Miles, 2,140 km - most of this at motorway (75mph/125kmh + speeds)

Fuel: 62.9 galls (imp), 75.46 galls (US), 286 litres

Economy: 21.27 mpg (imp), 17.73 mpg (US), 7.48 litres per 100km

Cost: €397/$504

I used 1.8 barrels of oil as unleaded with a raw material cost of $145....

Here's a pic of the museum Pagoda..

edit... picture not uploading so here's a virtual tour of the museum. Pagoda is on Level 5 under safety!

Interesting stats; thank you for the reminder that while those of us in the U.S. find it painful to fill up at $3.50 a gallon, it's still about half of what you pay in Europe. Ouch.

Gas station nearest my house is now over $1.80 a litre - so that's $6.75 a US gallon

yea the gas prices in europe is through the roof. Here in the Philippines its around 90 US cents per liter or roughly USD 3.40 per gallon.

But with a car as special as the Pagoda, we just have to keep on driving them :)

cheers everyone
