Hi All
just got back from a 2 hour drive in the country at speeds of around 80 MPH . when i got home parked the car in the driveway for around 5 min than put it in the garage , I noticed today that I has a stain in the driveway and a small pudle on the garage floor at the level of the rear main seal . I knew I has a small problem there <a few drops here and there before > . can I leave it like this ?any luck with additives?and from your experience is it the lowere or top part of the seal that goes bad?the bottoms is way easyer to fix
thanks
Erick

I cant see how a seal conditioner would prevent the leak since it is a fibre metalised seal so there is nothing to swell !
I have slight one from my 230SL too but I just wipe it once every 10n days or so ............I'll live with it !

Just try to think of it as chassis rust protection!
