Title: Length of a W113?!

Hi

I am saving hard for a W113 in the UK (where all the best ones seem to have the steering wheel on the wrong side) and wanted to know-

What is the exact length of a W113?

I guess that a US Spec car might be slightly longer than a Euro car due to build-regs, so I'd appreciate knowing if you can quote both (if they are different?!).

Its not that my garage is small!!!

Also - Has anyone seen a 1:18 scale W113 in Silver?

Google says 4285mm - I can measure mine if you like

as near as either way as the 113 never had the huge bumpers that the 107 had to have to meet US spec - the overriders will be only about 150mm at a guess and as the Google is a US site, 4285 would be your max

Width is easy but the doors are long....

Have you looked at Mercseller.com?

4285mm it is - thanks for that (I couldn't find it on Google...!)

I am still at the "Doing research and saving madly" stage, so I'll sit back and take in all the knowledge here  :)

ChelseaCars and Mercseller have a few, but I am not ready to buy just yet.

The information can be found on the home page by clicking on Detours.

A new SLK will measure in at 4082mm/160.7" and a new SL 550 is 4535/178.5" which puts the Pagoda in the middle at 4285mm/168.8".
