That link didn't work, but here's the real link:

The raffle benefits the US Marines Toys for Tots campaign. I read the other day in the newspaper that 1,600 tickets were left out of 5,000. It's $100 a ticket. For some reason they say you can't register the car in certain states (?) and you have your choice of the SLR or $300K. Isn't the SLR worth more then than, like nearly $500K?
But here's another raffle for you:
http://www.mbca.org/pages/raffle/raffle.htm
The MBCA holds one or two raffles a year. You must be a member. Details are on the link. This one benefits the MBCA, and is the source of a significant portion of its operating funds. These are $60 a ticket, 8,500 tickets, and there are 3 prizes. You get the cash equivalent.

I wonder why the restrictions on state of registration.
I live in VA so if I will I cannot register it here. Then again, if I win an SLR, I am moving!

I know some states, like Washington state, prohibit certain kinds of raffles. Other states won't allow tickets to be sold unless the raffle is registered in that state. But it is a strange list of states...

On the subject of raffles I won a S500 (completely loaded with a showroom value of about $100000) from the Dubai Duty Free airport raffle. I still use the car.
