Kemal,

Two things I had to learn the hard way about posting pics:

1) The size of each image or file is limited to 80,000 bytes (80kb).

2) Can't use spaces or special characters in the image name for instance ' or " or % or $ or / or \ or ! or %

Does this help in any way?

Hey Kemal. I think the problem there is the file is too large. 224 is about three times too large. You have to open the photo in a photo editor program where you can shrink it down below about 80KB.

Miss Shah. Your car is a LHD, yet you say you live in London. Can I ask you why you bought a LHD as they are very difficult to get rid of in a RHD Country should you need to get rid of it. It's a bit of an odd colour too for the UK. I have seen some  green LHD ex-Texas cars for sale in the UK for ages. Is yours one of those please?  When I lived there they were all silver or white. I had a silver 280 in the UK which I sold when I left. By the way, is your interior mirror correct? I thought that they were black. Is yours the desirable 280 or not please  :)

"Try to be more polite to MR SHAH , & then maybe I will answer some of your question .
Dont assume that we are ALL girls ! "

I am sorry that you think me rude. The two Kemels that I know of are both girls and taking the tone from your posts I assumed you were one too please.
Regarding your car:- The color is an unusual one in the UK and I remember hearing that it is considered unlucky ( something to do with Bentley I think ). There are several EX US Texas cars all LHD for sale in the UK, two of which are on SL forum

http://www.slpagoda.com/display_advert.cgi?advert_id=46

They are both green and although one now appears sold they have been for sale for ages. I wondered if yours was one of those. A fair assumption as yours is green and LHD.
I see from your picture that yours IS the considered by SOME the more desirable 280. The 230 being next and then the rarer 250...no comments please.
ONE of the points of this forum is to help people to get their cars to original spec and you will find many posts asking what color should the inside of the trunk be and where exactly should this decal be stuck, and even if I recall correctly a separate post regarding the color of the interior mirror. I think that on the later 280's it was black. Yours is chrome.
When I was having many of my cars 'corrected', I would have loved a forum like this please. Perhaps you should think yourself lucky please.
There are also many posts around, some on other forums regarding the difficulties selling LHD cars in RHD Countries and vice versa and having lived in the UK for some time, albiet years ago and driving a Silver RHD 280( all correct but took 18 months to sell ) and having NEVER seen a green one, I wondered why you buy a green LHD. It's a fair question please.

Try not to be so sensitive, if you just want posters to coo over your car and just say nice things, then say so please.

Here is my wanna-be rally car! I decided to give the rocker panels and wheels a fresh coat today. (I know the wheels are supposed to be white -- I continue to rebel on this one.) Plus, I think the car looks kind of "bad" this way...

Hi Kemal,

I also have a silver W113 with bundt rims, although my tires are backwalls versus whitwalls on yours.  I planning to buy new tires. The whitewalls give it a different (and maybe better) look.  I was wondering what make, model, and size are your tires?

Cheers and thanks,
Danny

Kemal,

Thanks for the information on the tire size. However what is the manufacturer/brand and model; such as, Michelin LTX, Yokohama Aegis, Yokohama AVID, or Michelin X-Ice.  Thanks...

Cheers,
Danny

Not Euro car, color and wheels unpopular in UK. Look at the side markers and the ww tires. All point to a U.S car.

Hi Rob

Thank you for the compliments ...
She was bought by an American in 1970 from Germany , after a short holiday in Italy , he drove the car to California , and has been there until 2002 .

I do love the californian / Texas spec ; 'LHD / Side Lights / soon to add bumper guards ,which I purchased from Cees .

Does that answer your question ?

Yes, beautiful. And having the Euro spec adds even more. I just love the colour, although I also do like the papyrus which mine is, my two favourite colours.
