Title: progress on engin bay 66 230 sl

so, I thought I would provide an update on the progress refreshing the engine bay on my 66 230 sl.

attached are some photos of the progress on the sl engine bay..  the motor, tranny are in ca for rebuild.

I had stripped the engine bay to bare metal, treated the metal, fixed the rust and holes.
 
appliied 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of mb white which matches the paint exactly.   the paint was from napa, single stage, their web site allowed me to get the excact color codes for the mb white.

replaced all the rubber grommets in the engine bay and on the wiring harness.

I also have attached some photos of the inj pumo that hans at H&R rebuilt

still need to finish installing the brake lines and brake booster / master cylinder and accelerator linkage.  lots more parts coming.
