Imagine how happy you'd be if your came with all or most of its documentation. Many of us have our manuals and various materials pertinent to our cars. Maybe your car came with it or you've collected some of the missing materials over the years. How about the original window sticker? Perhaps you have a nice car with no books or records? Serial Number (VIN) and Engine Number are clearly readable on the data card photo. So, that's your car??? How amazing!! I hope you win the auction!

Sad that this documtation is missing from the orginal car. Not having the car makes the hole purpose of having this worthless. This is the kind of crummy stuff on ebay that makes me mad and makes you stop and think!!

The seller e-mailed me and said these books belonged to 113044-12-010967. Perhaps one of us is lucky enough to own this 1970 280 SL...

My question to this vendor would be( What happened to the car it belongs with) Obviously canabalized for e-bay buyers or prehaps a stolden car that made its last journey to the E-bay junk yard scavangers. Shame, Shame!!!

You are much too suspicious, not that long ago, all this valuable documentation, was just a bunch of clutter in the glove box of an old car. The manuals and pouch that I have are from a 64 sl (113 042 12 007914 it's not in our registry)that a friend of mine sold and forgot to turn over to the new owner 20 + years ago.
My original manuals and pouch suffered a much worse fate. When(1976) I first purchased my SL and towed it from Texas to my home in Kansas, I kept the car stored in my parents garage until I could get it running. My sister brought home a stray puppy and decided the dog could sleep in the garage, the next morning I found all my documents and manuals that were in the right front door pocket, shredded by that flop-eared menace. All I was able to salvage was the white copy of the data card.
I remember one of the documents was dated 11 Jan 66, I thought this might have been the build date, but the data base here shows my chassis number as built in Dec of 65.

I agree and imagine these papers were separated from the vehicle at some point for whatever reason and it's not a big deal. Papers are papers really. For all we know the car was wrecked at some point. Yeah, it's nice to have all the bells and whistles that came originally, but to me that's no big deal.

I willingly exchange it against a copy in French
on the site I have not found reference to this Service Manual
it is dedicated to many of the same period:
A = 190C, 200, 190DC, 200D
B = 230, 220b, 220 Sb, 230S, 250S
C = 220SEb coupe, 250SE, 220SEb coupe / C 250SE / c, 230SL, 250SL
D = 300SE
E = 300SEb, 300SEL
I can scan some pages exceptionnnellement but not all because it is 5 centimètes thick! and that the abyss to make it flat on the scanner

it is dedicated to many of the same period:
principle, you have a table with numbers for each piece
then a directory for these parts with the correspondence between this number and the reference Mercedes, eg 128 353 00 15
when the part is replaced, you have the new rérérence 113 353 00 15
This catalog also has an advantage before removing you an idea of the assembly or assembly that facilitates the work

indeed that is what you get - too many positive results:
"48 pages found out of 548 pages searched."
Now you need to search those among the 48 pages that are most appropriate. For example, click on "Start" under "Documents" , and voilà you are at the pages that I linked earlier.
I agree, searching the Technical Manual is not very intuitive and it takes some practice to find what one is looking for.
