Title: Import from USA to GB

I am thinking of buying a 280sl that is coming over to GB from the States; what modifications will I need to make to it to get an MOT?
Also can the American headlightd be alterered for English use; I know how expensive replacements are!

You can buy standard 7 inch left hand traffic halogen headlamp units to replace the US units, made by Bosch, Hella or even Cibie.

No other mods are required for MOT, I've been told...

Sometimes even a "newbie" can help.  In '94 I moved to the UK and brought my 280sl.  I passed the MOT and the only thing they told me I had to do was change the angle of the headlights to reflect right hand driving.  It was suggested that I add a mirror to the right side of the car to aid in passing. :)
