Title: Which Pagoda SL to Buy?
Post by: n/a on November 02, 2003, 06:24:17
Hi there,

I am new to Pagoda world, and saw a 230 SL for sale.  It was in very good shape.  It had a 4 spd trans. and a hard top.  I was wondering what things I should be wary of and what are some of the desirable options for the 230 SLs.

I was also wondering which Pagoda SL is the best to buy? and why.

Hi,

Welcome.  Here are some references to how to evaluate the relative merits of the 230-250-280sl models.  I assume that since you posted the question to this forum that you are interested in evaluating a w113 chassis car from 1963-1971.

Good summary at this site:

Good evaluation techniques posted by Roy Spencer at www.oursl.com:

Hope this helps.

Best,

tenzing,
Those are two good links to refer to.  After reading them over, please come back and read through our forums.  Use the search tool to get answers on particular items.  Ask us more questions you need answers to and we'll be happy to help.

Others have asked the same "what to buy" or "what to look for" questions.  I did a search on this forum for the word "buy" and found these discussions (listed among 7 pages of discussion topic search hits!)

Hello Tenzing - if you mail me offline I will send you a 9-page purchase evaluation document (in Word) that I received from another member in Europe, which is pretty comprehensive.

Good luck!
