Was under the car today, car hasn't been driven much for a long time, and anyway while I was under there I found two wires that were disconnected. Anyone know what these are for? One end looks like it attaches to the transmission, the other goes threw the firewall at the brake pedal area. How should I connect them back up? Theres a white wire and a black one, I figure white to white, black to black makes sense. But on one end, black wire is copper, white is silver color, and on the other end white is color, black is silver. So should I connect copper to copper? or black to black? Thanks

Probably not enough information. For starters, you can try everything electrical and see if something doesn't work. Connecting to transmission? Perhaps the reverse light switch. If they look like original wires, you can look at the wiring diagram and see if you can figure it out from the colors and location...

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. I keep the car with the battery disconnected, and thats how its sitting now. I didn't know if I should connect it and start the car up with these wires not connected, didn't want to blow a fuse or anything. I tried posting a picture.... don't know if its a good enough one to help

scoot, your the man.
went with the common sense, and it didn't blow up in my face for once. I did black to black/white to white. Wires were for reverse lights.

But now you have the question of why they were disconnected to begin with.... a more troubling question since you may never know the answer...
