Title: 71 280 Was driving fine now won't stay running

I was just driving my 71 280sl and I parked it shut it off and went into a store.  I came out started it and it started right up and stalled.  I tryed a couple more times same thing!  If I hold the gas pedal and try to starting it, it will start rev up but still stall.  I add gas thinking the gas guage got stuck but still no luck it will not stay running.  I did notice right before I parked it I was sittting at the light idling and it studdered alittle but when I hit the gas it was fine.  Please help Thanks

Hello,

Try the simple inexpensive things first, like ignition points (may have slipped out of adjustment), fuel fitler next.
