Title: Engine block color?

Hi everyone. I just wanted to ask, what color should a 280SL engine block (early 1968) be painted, is it red or black? Does anyone have any pictures? Car is in the shop and just wanted to make sure, thanks!

Hello cpmayor,

The engine block is a satin black. The red you see is the undercoat primer color.
