Has anyone had success having their original (long style) Bosch electric fuel pump rebuilt? I'm looking to have mine rebuilt and would appreciate any good referrals of mechanics or shops that do this kind of work. I realize that it's not that complicated to rebuild one yourself, but I'm strapped for time. Thanks!

I suggest you get in contact with our resident expert George Des. At the very least, he can hook you up with all the correct parts for the rebuild.
Also, a very detailed description is given here: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Fuel.FuelPumpRebuildEarly

Thanks for the info Matt. I couldn't find H&R's contact info in the forum? Do you happen to have it or do you know which city and state they're located in?

Matt,
I think Nate is looking to get his fuel pump rebuilt, not his fuel injection pump. H&R is a fuel injection pump specialist.

Pete
Hans is a Bosch specialist and can rebuild the fuel pumps, diesel fuel injectors as well as fuel njection pumps. I do not think he messes with bosch distributors though.
Hans rebuilt my fuel injection pump and went thru the fuel pump for my sl.

Sorry, my mistake. That makes sense that they can do anything related to Bosch and fuel.
