I have finally made the decision to "upgrade" to the carbontech brakes as "advertised" in Jim Villiers Blacklick video.
Back brakes are easy but I am being asked for further details/dimensions of the pads/shoes so that the right ones are made/shipped over to the UK. Given the shipping costs etc, I want to get this right first time...
If anyone has this info - an outline of the shoe/dimensions thereof - OR has ordered carbontech front brakes for a 280 (ATE?) could you let me have the info please. I have tried the normal suppliers such as SLS/Millers for pictures but drew a blank as far as what Carbontech are after
Thanks very much

James,
have you called K&K, I was told by K&K that they can re bond the friction material for the rear brake shoes for drum brakes. Actually I think they have an exchange program.
not sure on the details, however it may be worth a call
If your 280 has disks in the rear then this reply may not be very helpful

Thanks Matt
Discs at the back!

In case anyone is planning on a similar Carbotech path. For the ATE disk brakes (ie not the 230s, IIRC) you need:
CT45s for the front ($122 set 4 pads)
CT31s for the rear. ($119 - " - ))
The prices are for the suffix 1521 which is the "street" set. I figured hi performance and autocross were a little more than I need.
Mike Puskar at Carbotech has been very helpful (as has naj, as ever, this time with dimensions and Ferrodo parts which has helped Mike get the exact pads/shoes). I'll let you know how the fitting goes, and what the results are.

Hi James,
I am very interested in the carbontech pads. Please keep us posted on how they work out for you.
