I am a newbie to posting, although I have learned SO MUCH valuable information from lurking. Thanks to all who have contributed . . .
I have the '70 almost torn down and ready for what we are going to call the big flea dip, to kill the rust worms. Argh . . . what a job. The engine is torn down with the important bits already at the machine shop. I do most of my own work, but unfortunately, I do not know much about, nor do I want to learn much about, automatic transmissions. This one worked fine before the car was taken apart (I drove it) but I hate to do everything else and not have the trans at least looked at by someone competent . . .
Soooo, if anyone knows of someone in the area who knows these things, is honest and is not ready to implement the new 'share the wealth' plan I hear so much about on TV, I'd love to hear about them.
