This Saturday I took some time for myself and went to see the new movie about David Frost played by (Michael Sheen), the English talk show host, who undertakes a two million dollar tryst to try and interview the besieged President Richard Millhouse Nixon brilliantly played by Frank Langella with some very direct questions about Watergate and the Vietnam War.
The story is slow at first and the interview of the former President seems to avoid questions by rambling on to avoid answering Frost questions directly. Frost hires three assistants and a women who Frost invites to meet President Nixon and tag along Rebecca Hall who plays Caroline Cushing and three assistants to help out and research the scandals committed by President Nixon's link to the Watergate Burglar. All well known actors.
It is a worthwhile movie to see if you like history. I, for one, did not know that President Nixon had two other brothers who passed away. Some of the off-the-cuff one liners made by Frank Langgella who play Nixon are hilarious.
David Frost arrives in a 6.9 with his advisers and in the end, without going into the story, ends driving a 280SL Roadster with the top down with friend played by Rebecca Hall who plays Caroline Cushing.
This is a highly recommended movie of true history and all the actors are great, many well known.
