Portland Pagoda

Took my Pagoda for a spin through downtown Portland (Ore) tonight, since it was such a pleasant evening.
If a car looks great at night, that means it looks great just about anywhere, anytime!

Those are awesome photos - your 280SL appears (color) to be an extention of the cityscape!!

Umm, Konstantin, how tall are you?
Can you even fit in the cramped 280SL space? 
I'm 6'8" and it's a pretty tight fit in my 220SL.
Think you might need to give up your secret for the high angle photos.

Walter - indeed I would have trouble fitting into that 280SL if I took those shots free-hand.
I was standing on a loading deck that was converted to a restaurant terrace.

Unusually high or low angles make a pagoda look even better - that's why.

What kind of camera & settings did you use for those pics? 

I think mine would turn out dark, grainy, blurry, under exposed, over exposed... You get the idea.

I used a Nikon D90 with a 18-200mm lens on it.
The camera produces great pictures even at low light, and the higher ISO setting (1000) is not too grainy.
On top of that, the Vibration Reduction (VR) stabilizer in the lens is good for shaky hands!
Took about 20 shots, and these were the nicest.

I don't think the shots would have turned out this clear if I used my point-n-shoot.
