Windshield post trim.
« on: April 20, 2009, 05:04:06 »
I am replacing the interior on my 1967 230 SL. The left hand windshield post trim vinyl covers a wood base piece. The wood must have come in contact with water and is rotted on the bottom.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement. Are there any suppliers that still sell them?

Always check our suppliers list: http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Suppliers/Start

You'll find (amongst others) Heritage Woodworks (http://www.heritagewoodworks.com/), SLS (http://www.sls-hh-catalogue.de/start/index.phtml), or Koellner Pagoden Teile (http://www.pagodenteile.de/27.htm).

When I redid the interior on mine, I sent all the wood to Madera Concept near Santa Barbara, being a 230sl mine also has covered wood on the windsheild posts. I had these covered with burl along with the rest...its nice!
