the noise sounds like  screeching metal, but the thing is it only occurs when the car is fully warm and the accelorator is pressed to th floor? my guess when driving was the FI pump... any ideas?

If you remove the belts and run the car you should be able to rule out the belts and pulleys off the accessories.  Dont run it long because youll have no water pump, alternator or P/S availiable.  This is done just as a test. Good luck and please keep us posted.

I assume that you are driving the car when you hear this noise.  If so, check your engine mounts as at full throttle, the engine will tend to twist and possibly something might rub (like the drive shaft if the rear mounts are collapsed).
