I purchased  a new top two years ago and had it put on 8 months ago. The very first time I had the car out in a very heavy rain it got damp at every seam to the point where it discolored the inside. The provider says it is my problem due to the fact I purchased it two years ago. My old top was over 15 years old never a problem.  What do you think?  I told the dealer I would ask the opinion of the pagoda group.  He has offered me a new top for 1/2 price but why would I buy another the cost of installation is close to 700dollars.  Grand total would come close to 2000dollars

How was the top stored ( heat, dampness, dust, direct sun light, pests, etc)

Is it a major supplier  (GAHH, Hirsch, Millers) v. china

Are you certain the installer put on top you purchased?

It might not be a major issue, as Ragg Topp sells a treatment spray that restores water repellence.

It was stored in my home in the box it came in till the week I had it installed.  The installer has installed at least 50 Mercedes tops.  He even did my 79vw which to me is more difficult.  I will take pictures and post them soon
