General early data card info:

Option code list:

Options 320 and 330 do not appear in our database here.  You should contact the Classic Center and ask them.

John,
Option code 320 = from 01.09.1961  to 30.06.1964 " LEFT REAR VIEW MIRROR NOT INSTALLED, MIRROR FIXTURE MOUNTED"
Code 330 was used in much later years. Could this be a typo?
[see: http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~mtor/mbcodedsc.html]
Hinweis 3 is explained in the Wiki manual.

The 320 code makes sense since there is no other indication of a mounted mirror on the data card.  I don't think the 330 is a typo.

As Rodd suggested, you might want to ask the Classic Center how they came up with code 330 for your car. Perhaps we can learn something new here.

Don't take the Classic Center as the final word on this-- they've been wrong at least once (in my case). See: http://index.php?topic=8741

Jszeman1 should at least call them to get an answer.  It may not be the answer, but it will be something.

From the classic center this is the information on the numbers:

320 from 01.09.1961  to 30.06.1964 " LEFT REAR VIEW MIRROR NOT INSTALLED, MIRROR FIXTURE MOUNTED"

330 Mode of Packing VEIV

Hinwets This is an internal code.  I cannot find what the 3 means

I am puzzled that the delivery date of my car is 8/63 yet the serial number indicates the car was built in 10/63 for car 671?

Hey John. As I look at the production dates in the Tech Manual, it looks like 671 would have been October 63. Mine is 871, and has November stamped on the card -- which corresponds to the datadase. There is a separate number in the bottom lefthand box of my card that reads 8/63. Never quite knew what that was.

That's exactly what I meant to say-- thanks for clarifying.

Does anyone have a data card with the key codes?  Were they only on originals?  They are blacked out on the ones from Irvine.

Mine is a copy and it HAS key codes. I took these to the dealer and ordered three new keys. About a month later, three new keys arrived keyed to my car. Amazing!

This data card is a puzzle.  Car is confirmed as number 671 and the buld date of 10/63 but the delivery date on the left bottom of the car  is 8/63.  To complicate matters the rims on my car are stamped 8/63 and are original to the car.

We're required to black out the key codes unless proof of ownership is provided.
