Read as much as I can from the past forum discussion and still having some difficulty on figuring the correct set-up I might need for the following issues:
Let me tell you my current set-up first:
68' 250 SL with 0231 185 009 Bosch JFU6 distributor
Spark Plug: Bosch W7DC
Spark Plug Connector Ends: Metal Sleeved Factory Transistorized 1KOhm inscribed inside
Distributor Cable :(Hopefully Original) Black Bosch 7mm
Ignitor: Recently upgraded to Pertronix II set-up
Problems:
1) Set up the Pertronix II ignitor at 30Deg @3000 RPM and works perfect but at idle RPM as well as COLD start still having quite a bit of retardation(hoping it is the correct word), I increased the IDLE RPM to about 1000 RPM to get rid of the retardation but not sure if this is the right thing to do?
2) Using Becker Europa II radio I am getting a strong power click when I turn it on,
2a)and most annoyingly getting radio interference noise when driving (louder with acceleration and vice-versa).
2b)Even when radio is off I can hear it from the speakers?
From my understanding upgrading the spark plugs to W9DC should help me with the cold start and idle problem as well as reducing the NOISE interference on the radio?
