Recovering sun visors
« on: October 14, 2009, 00:38:58 »
Recently I took my sun visors into a shop in Hampton, VA to have them recovered.  Most of the stitching was inside the fabric, much like the original. The top edge, near the horizontal attaching bar, was stitched externally with about an 1/8 of an inch of fabric showing.  They look very nice for a driver and for about $50 a side not a bad deal.  If anyone is interested contact Wilbert's Auto Upholstery at 757 380 0703.

Thanks for the contact info.

If going the non OEM route it seams an appealing approach would be to have a seamstress make the cover and incorporate an invisible nylon zipper.
A sunvisor is not much different than a pillow.
