Great job on the September 2009 Pagoda World issue 11. What a beauty on the cover! I love the headlights. Can anyone tell me the Brand of the headlights bulbs and where I can find them?

The most astute among you, and those that attended PUB, will notice that the FRONT Signal Red beauty belongs to Gus Monahu; the one on the BACK is mine.  Not the same car...

Maybe Gus will check in here but it looks like the answer you want is something like a Hella H4 conversion. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLA-002395071/#  There are other manufacturers of similar kinds of conversions, where the 7" sealed beam is disposed of with a reflector/lens assembly and replaceable halogen bulb.  Cibie and Bosch also make them.

Thanks for the compliment but my car is just a nice driver. It is Waqas' skill with a camera that makes it look so good.

The headlight bulbs are Zenon H4 HID. I bought complete lamps from Prostreetlighting who always has them on eBay. The current auction is 120476273717. The buy it now price is $49.95 with free shipping. This is less than I paid for mine about 9 months ago.  As for function, they really make a difference in lighjting up the road.

I installed the Bosch H4 headlights with the 100/55 watt bulbs, I think that was the number. They were the highest wattage available anyways. These lights are incredible. You can't believe the light they throw and with the Z beam you rarely get any "complaints". Absolutely buy these headlights, a friend has been purchasing the Chinese knock offs and those work nice also, but I like to have the Bosch name on my headlight. Hella also makes the same thing. At first, on this site some thought the original wiring may not be up to the task. But, I have had them several years now with many nightime hours with no problems in my 230SL.
