Bosch Ausruestungslisten (equipment lists)

I was digging around on the Bosch website in Germany and found links to the equipment lists for the various car manufacturers they supplied.
Included on these lists are even the antique models like our W113 series.

I have saved them in PDF files on my computer. If You are interested you can go there and look them up as well or I can email them. However, they are in german ( I can translate if need be). The cool thing is that the lists in many cases contain repair part numbers for various items.

For those who may be interested, here is how to research these lists in detail. What is cool is not only that these lists exist, but that one can also look at explosion drawings of the various parts in our vehicles. I In order to do so, log in to

www.Bosch.de,
then click on the english version at the Top
next, log in to the driver portal at the left
->   Spare parts for classic cars and young classics
->   Knowledge
->   Equipment lists (Ausruestungslisten) let your search for your specific vehilcle. You will see a listing of all the parts Bosch supplied for your vehicle in 9 or 10 digit part numbers ( NOT MB part numbers!)
->   Go back to the previos page and click on "Spare parts lists". From there you can then enter the part number you wish to research. for example the starter for my 280SL is 0001313003. enter this and you will get a choice of an explosion diagram or a spare parts list. The explosion diagram is MUCH more detailed than my MB drawing. To see if the specific item you are looking for is available, go back and enter the desired item in the search window........
 have fun. Took me a little while to figure this out without getting lost, but its cool

btw, don't know if this is old news, but our horns are being reissued in the original versions (Neuauflagen), although they appear to be chromed?

This is indeed a very useful site to search for information on old Bosch parts and possible replacement parts.
The site also provides a very detailed PDF manual explaining how the search process is structured. It is too large to post here but can be downloaded directly as shown in the screen shot.

I used to work for Bosch and had access to the original fiche and internal computer systems (i worked for there IT dept). The information is very good but you need to be careful as there are quite a few error's in it. With the internal system we could enter a part no & it would list all the cars it was used on (the web system does not seem to give as much detail) - its great for finding cheaper sources for parts - for example the exhaust sensor on a Porsche Carrera is also used on a Fiat Panda !
