David,
The SL looks fantastic, you must have spent a good day polishing!  The shots of it in the mountains are super.  It is a great natural combination!  Keep those kind of mountain pictures coming all four seasons.

Looks great!! Horizon Blue is one of those colours that looks much different in person. I get so many comments regarding the "spectacular colour" of my 69 Horizon Blue 280SL. Photos don't do it justice.

Here's a map of the approximately 2 hour tour during which I took the photos.  Start and End in Danville, California, USA, Photos 3832 and 3835 are approximately at B in Chabot Regional park ; 3838 and 3843 are at C in the Las Trampas Wilderness.

Every one who participates in our 2010 European Event will have some spectacular mountain pictures!

Hey Rob,

Nice as the Blue mountains are, and I have been there numerous times - used to live at Richmond, I'm sad to say that I think CraigDs Swiss shot trumps the Blueys. ;)

I think its about time we had some Northern Exposure so I shall fire up the box brownie with some water shots of our 230 (same colour as yours) near the bay ;D

cheers

George,
I think Mt Rainier might be in Oregan USA, and that white cross on a red shield on the number plate might be Danish not Swiss, anyway below are a couple of Californian Hill shots taken along Highway One with a Pagoda in the forground.

Mt. Rainer is in Washington State, but I'm pretty sure that is a Swiss license plate-- "VD" stands for Canton Vaud http://www.vd.ch/.
The green and white are the colors of their shield.  You have a resident expert there in your house in Australia, as I recall  ;)
Very nice pictures, all, by the way.  Great to see you all out enjoying the scenery!

Here's one of my mountain pictures...

Craig ...
Beautiful!  :D
Remember both, Mt. Rainier and VD240841, so well but have never seen them simultaneously ... :D ;D

Would you mind if I go and nominate your picture for the Pagodentreff 2011 calendar?

Don't know whether or not it can make the race for one of the 12 calendar themes for 2011 (with 50 other competitor pics like this year).
Unfortunately, VD240841 couldn't make it for 2010 (still with its G81 6SF number plate) :(  but who knows...

Best,
Achim
(with lots of Mt. Rainier pics from his Seattle days but unfortunately without pagoda in the foreground)

Achim,

Sorry my response to your question is slow - somehow I missed it earlier.  Yes, it would be fine to send the picture in.  As you say, it might not make the race, but it's certainly fine with me to give it a whirl!

Thank you,

Craig

Craig, I agree with Achim, your picture of the car and Mt Ranier in the background should be on a calendar or preferably on a poster.  It is absolutely gorgeous.
