Castor adjustment
« on: January 26, 2010, 18:11:06 »
Hello all.
After replacing the king-pins, the threated pivot bushes and the balljoints it was time to get everthing alined.
Toe in and camber was no problem for the shop.
But castor was.
So i have a few questions.
The finetuning of castor must be done with the notched washer. Must the cambolt be loose to make an adjustment? Or will the washer move also with the cambolt at torque?
Large adjustment is done with the excentric rubbers located at the short leafsprings.
How can they be turned?
Thanks for any help.

Caster adjustment is described at the bottom of this page

Thanks Jeff but that thread don't really gives an answer to my questions.
I just want to know if the cambolt can stay torqued (or maybe must stay torqued) when adjusting the notched washer, and how the excentric rubbers can be turned.
I want to know this so i can tell the mechanic next time he gonna make some adjustments at castor.
Thanks for your answer anyway.
